As COVID continues to play out, I think we have all been trying to find different ways to make our homes better than ever. First step: relocate to The Hepburn residences in Dupont Circle 🙂 Second step: try out some of the below products to elevate your living space.
Find a signature scent
One of my favorite ways to make my space more chic is to invest in an amazing smelling candle. My favorites are Byredo, Diptyque, D.S. & Durga and Maison Louis Marie (Bois de Balincourt is a Le Labo dupe and smells exactly like Santal 33).
Invest in art
I’ve been using this time to research different artists. A few I have come across that are unique and beautiful are Josh Young Design House (Josh just recently moved to DC!), William McLure (shown in title picture), Kevin J. Mclean, and Emily Morgan Brown (photo above – and also a sorority sister of mine!).
Upgrade your technology
Creating a tech-friendly space is key and having everything work in sync just makes life easier. A few upgrades you can make is investing in a great sound system to play music / movies (I’m partial to Sonos), purchasing an Amazon Echo and Dot to connect your sound systems, and choosing a Smart TV.
Create a sleeping oasis
Bedding is so incredibly important. This is true pandemic or not, but now is definitely the time to upgrade if you haven’t already. Frette, Matouk, Biscuit and Restoration Hardware are great and offer so many different fabrics, patterns and styles. I also 100% recommend this throw from Jenni Kayne.
