Now that we’re in another phase of reopening, people are getting out more and more. We’re finally able to gather in small groups and grab a meal at one of our favorite restaurants. If you’re looking for something unique to do while avoiding the crowds that combines your favorite restaurant; why not a picnic? There are plenty of parks in the Dupont Circle area and even more within a short walking distance of The Hepburn that you can take advantage of.

The following Dupont Circle restaurants are offering picnic baskets filled with yummy provisions for you to safely pick-up and go.

Mintwood Place

Mintwood Place offers their picnic baskets on the weekends from noon to 5:00 pm. The baskets include shredded chicken sandwiches, cheese, and cookies. This basket which includes enough for two is $40

The Imperial

For a more sophisticated picnic basket, The Imperial should be your go-to. For only $22, they provide you with crudites, hummus and will throw in some surprises that may include smoked salmon.

Neighborhood Provisions

This picnic basket option offerings choices from multiple different restaurants; one being Iron Gate in Dupont Circle. The “Best. Picnic. Ever.” option includes the cheese board from Iron Gate along with a charcuterie board, fruit and challah bread. This option costs $85.

While dining is slowly getting back to “normal”, it’s a great time to try out different ways of enjoying your favorite Dupont Circle foods.
