Imperfecto
Imperfecto is just that. Not perfection – but I’ve heard it’s close. Imperfecto recently opened in the West End and it’s menu highlights dishes such as a Moussaka Cigar, The Egyptian KYC and the Krug & Onion. I’m a pasta fan, so my first pick will be the Ricotta Ravioli. Make a reservation here.
Jont
Jont is the tasting menu at Bresca off of 14th. This elevated experience will make you proud of the Washington dining scene. The space allows for only 14 diners at a time making it a very intimate dinner. Follow @MemoriesofaGourmand on Instagram for some behind-the-scenes shots.
Lucky Danger
This take-out option shouldn’t be missed. Coming from Chef Tim Ma (RIP coconut risotto at Kyirisan), you can bet Lucky Danger will be a great culinary experience. The menu features classic Chinese dishes at reasonable prices; which – to me – means you can try out a bunch of different items. This is a pick-up only spot, so no delivery..but I have a feeling it’s worth the trip.
Lyle’s
The Lyle is the new hotel within the Kimpton Carlyle hotel in Dupont off New Hampshire. Lyle’s is their restaurant. I believe it was previously called Riggsby. The design is what initially drew me to look into the space. The lighting structures are insane and the wrap around sofa seating makes me want to go for happy hour and stay through last call. Their brunch launches May 8th and I might just be there…
